Things To Do

Being pregnant can get a bit tedious, especially if, like me, you're home alone all day every day. I also was suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. Things to keep me mentally and physically busy became very important. These activities helped me to get through those last few months of discomfort and trepidation emotionally intact.

  • yoga
  • quilting
  • fabric shopping (goes along with above activity!)
  • watch comedies on television
  • walk around the block
  • listen to relaxation, meditation & hypnobirthing tapes
  • write erotic short fiction (a second trimester favorite!)
  • garden (good time to practice squatting)
  • read novels (avoid stories where women and/or children die in childbirth, which is distressingly commonplace in fantasy fiction)
  • warm baths
  • read 'how to' books on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and child care
